The winners of Dezeen Awards 2020 have been announced in a series of three video shows, revealing the best architecture, interiors and design projects and studios in the world this year. NPO Aoyama Design Forum (ADF) supports Dezeen Awards 2020 as a media partner.
Architecture Winners
Alison Brooks Architects, a London-based studio of architects, thinkers and 3D designers from around the world, led by Alison Brookshas, been named architect of the year while Gad Line+ Studio, a Hangzhou-based architecture studio, founded by Meng Fanhao and Zhu Peidong in 2018, has won the title of emerging architect of the year.

The Red Roof by TAA Design a modest house in a Vietnamese village that features a vegetable garden on its roof, has been named the best architecture project of the year.

Among the 12 architecture project winners were a primary school in Iran and a boutique hotel in Bali.
Interiors Winners
A Design firm founded in 2003 by Hector Esrawe in Mexico City, Esrawe Studio, has been named interior designer of the year while Formafatal, an interior design studio that focuses on public spaces was chosen as the emerging interior designer of the year.

There were 12 interior project winners, which include a winery in northeast Austria and a series of studios for yoga brand Vikasa.
Design Winners
Formafantasma, a design studio founded by Italian duo Andrea Trimarchi and Simone Farresin, based in Amsterdam, has been named designer of the year while material designer Shahar Livne, who is known for communicating social, philosophical and ecological issues through her works, scooped emerging designer of the year.

Among the 12 design project winners is an installation designed entirely from seaweed and postage stamps that warn of the impact of climate change.
