The Aoyama Design Forum (ADF), a non-profit organization, will soon close its call for entries for the ADF Design Award 2024, an award for architects from around the world. The deadline is December 22, 2023 (JST). The award is a major design competition with a total prize fund of US,000 and a jury of five world-renowned figures, Emanuele Stamuli, Fernando Menis, Lorenzo Bini, Suzy Annetta, and Wiliam Potts, in the architecture and design industry. The winners will have the opportunity to attend the award ceremony in Milan and exhibit their works. This is a unique opportunity to showcase your work to the world.
Outline of the ADF Design Award 2024
We are looking for architectural works from all over the world that are not only beautiful on the surface, but also original and innovative in the process of design adoption, beneficial to humans, environmentally friendly, and challenging to break new ground in the world of architectural design. ADF will be present at the Salone Internazionale del Mobile in Milan, Italy, during the Salone Internazionale del Mobile in Milan, Italy, where the award-winning works will be exhibited. In addition, ADF plans to exhibit the works at the ADF Gallery Space in Aoyama, Tokyo.

Prize Money and Extra Prizes
Grand Prize: US,000 (one entry from all categories)
Excellence Award Prize: US,000 (2 entries from all categories)
Extra prize: The Grand Prize winner and the Excellence Award Prize winner will have their works exhibited at the ADF venue of the Fiori Salone during the "Salone Internazionale del Mobile" (exhibition will include photographs and models). Aoyama Design Forum will cover the cost of up to US,000 for the set-up of the exhibition. The winning entries will have the opportunity to be exhibited at COCO WARP, a virtual museum operated by ADF. The Grand Prize winner will receive PR support from the ADF Business Matching Division for one year.

Stamuli AB is a Stockholm-based design studio founded in 2016 by Emanuele Stamuli. Drawing from his own multicultural heritage, with roots in Italy and Greece – and unconventional background – with his formal training originating in yacht design – Emanuele has brought together an eclectic team of international creatives and technical experts who share in the goal of creating a long-lasting legacy in the field of interior and furniture design, focusing on highly curated, site- specific projects inspired by the intrinsic identity of each client and location.
An open mindset, diverse skill-sets, and a challenge- embracing approach fuel our work in a wide scope of projects, ranging from the high-end retail sector – including long-standing collaborations with renowned international fashion and luxury labels – to select residential and privately-funded projects across the globe.
Fernando Menis / Architect

Fernando Menis has been an awarded architect for more than 40 years, and his body of work consists of extensive research projects as well as works of diverse scales and typologies. He is renowned and honored globally as for creating a cutting-edge variable acoustic system for the CKK Jordanki Concert Hall in Poland in 2015. He also designed the Holy Redeemer Church of Las Chumberas, El Tanque Garden, Plaza Bürchen in Switzerland, Insular Athletics Stadium, Magma Art & Congress, Pool in the river Spree of Berlin and the HQ of the Canary Islands Presidency.
Lorenzo Binii / Member of the Council of the Order and Foundation of the Order of the Architects of Milan

Born in 1971, educated in Milan and Oslo, Lorenzo graduated in 1998 from Politecnico di Milano and worked for different offices in Milan and Rotterdam until 2003 when he co-founded Studiometrico, his former practice that ceased business in 2011 after 8 years of shared partnership.In the same year Lorenzo founded BINOCLE, his Milan-based office that works on the transformation of existing spaces shifting from temporary structures to permanent buildings and gardens.
Beside his professional activity, Lorenzo has been adjunct Professor at Politecnico di Milano, visiting professor at the Design Academy Eindhoven and is currently teaching at Nuova Accademia di Belle Arti in Milan. Since 2021 Lorenzo is member of the board of the Milanese Architects Association of architects of Milan with responsibility for the cultural activities.
Suzy Annetta / Design Anthology

Suzy Annetta, Founding Editor in Chief of Design Anthology is a design editor and curator and a recognised authority on design in Asia. Suzy has judged numerous design awards regionally, has advised on selection panels, serves as on the advisory committee for Design Trust, hosted numerous interviews and panel discussions at events, live television and podcasts, and has edited numerous books on design.
With a background in textiles and interior design, plus 18 years living in Asia, Annetta recognised the need to tell stories about design across the region. Design Anthology was first launched in early 2014 to a strong following that continues to grow internationally. Design Anthology is published independently and is the only design magazine available across the Asia region to focus on a curated selection of people, projects and products across the region. A European edition of the magazine launched in 2018, followed by an Australian edition in late 2019, and a China edition in 2023. Design Anthology published their first long format book “Design in Asia: The New Wave” in collaboration with Thames & Hudson in early 2020.

William Potts is the Design Director of NR2154, a creative agency based in NYC, Copenhagen and Paris. With a background in furniture and interior design, working previously with companies such as Dimore Studio in Milan and Schemata Architects in Tokyo, he is constantly exploring new ways to enhance and elevate a brands physical appearance. Now working within the luxury sector, with companies such as LVMH, Louis Poulsen, Moët et Chandon, Hennessy, Acqua Di Parma & Repossi, William is drawn and inspired by architecture and spaces that are highly artistic, intellectual as well as visually and physically impactful.
