Call for Entries: ASA Experimental Design Competition 2025 – “Future Nostalgia in Architecture”

The Association of Siamese Architects under Royal Patronage (ASA), Thailand, invites architects, designers, students, and creative minds from around the world to take part in the ASA Experimental Design Competition 2025. The NPO Aoyama Design Forum (ADF) continues to sponsor this award as a partner in 2025.

With the compelling theme “Future Nostalgia in Architecture,” this international competition explores how design can merge memories of the past with visions of the future. Participants are encouraged to reimagine architecture by blending history, culture, nature, and society with cutting-edge tools and technologies—without restrictions on site or scale. Use Thailand as your case study to create a new narrative that honors tradition while inspiring innovation.

Theme: Future Nostalgia in Architecture
"Future Nostalgia" invites a thoughtful response to our rapidly evolving world. In an age dominated by progress, how can architecture stay rooted in cultural heritage while meeting tomorrow’s needs? The competition encourages a reinterpretation of the past through contemporary perspectives, creating spaces that carry emotional and cultural depth into the future.

Prizes
- General Category: 100,000 Baht
- Student Category: 50,000 Baht

Submission Requirements
Choose any site and scale—architecture, interior, urban, or landscape design. Present your vision through conceptual and analytical drawings, sections, plans, renderings, or perspectives. Show how your project addresses “future nostalgia” and contributes to both present and future built environments.
