The DFA Design for Asia Awards 2025, one of the most prestigious international design awards in Asia, is now open for entry from April 1, 2025. Organized annually by the Hong Kong Design Centre since its launch in 2003, and sponsored by the Cultural and Creative Industries Development Agency of the HKSAR Government, the award aims to spotlight outstanding Asian design that reflects cultural depth and contributes meaningfully to society. Aoyama Design Forum (ADF) is proud to serve as an official media partner for the award.
Award Disciplines and Judging
The DFA Awards recognizes design excellence across 6 design disciplines with 30 categories (details omitted). Projects are evaluated by an international jury of design professionals on criteria such as usability, aesthetic quality, sustainability, innovation, impact in Asia, and commercial or societal success. Winners receive not only trophies and certificates but also opportunities for global exposure through international exhibitions, publication features, and events such as the Business of Design Week (BODW). Award-winning projects will also be featured on the DFA Awards’ online showcase platform, expanding their global reach and visibility.
Entry Period
This year’s entry period runs from April 1 to June 30, 2025 (Hong Kong Time). Submissions made by April 30 will receive a 50% discount on the entry fee. Eligible projects must have been publicly launched between January 1, 2023 and May 31, 2025 in one or more Asian markets, and may be submitted by designers, clients, brand owners, or design consultancies.
