Hong Kong Design Center has opened Design For Asia Awards 2021(DFA) to evaluate and honor outstanding works from the world. The flagship program was founded in 2003 by the government agency, Create Hong Kong, and has been sponsored by the Hong Kong Design Center (HKDC). The award has supported active designers in Asia and appreciates their products and ideas since its inception in 2013. ADF continues to support Design For Asia Awards 2021(DFA) as a media partner.

Awards
The DFA Design for Asia Awards comprises of “Category Award” by open submission and “Grand Awards”. Gold Award winners of the Category Award and outstanding design projects by nomination will be selected as the candidates of Grand Awards. Awards will be conferred with:

The judges
The judges will confer Gold, Silver, Bronze and Merit Awards to the winners in each of the following 4 design disciplines which includes 24 design categories:

Entry Requirements
The entry must have actually been produced and (in the case of commercial products) have become available in one or more Asian markets between 1st January 2019 and 31st May 2021. Designs that are still under development and/or have not yet been commercially launched between 1st January 2019 and 31st May 2021, as well as show flats, prototypes, renderings and artists' impressions of designs are ineligible as Entry. The entry must be submitted by the design's owner or client, the brand's owner, its designer or its design consultancy. Hong Kong Design Centre may request entrant to submit a Letter of Support when awarded, to certify the owner agree the entry submission.

Entry Fee
• During Promotional Period: HK,000 for each entry submitted online between 15th March and 30th Apr 2021 (by 23:59, Hong Kong time (GMT+8))
• During Regular Period: HK,000 for each entry submitted online between 1st May and 18th June 2021 (by 17:00, Hong Kong time (GMT+8))
