The Aoyama Design Forum (ADF), a non-profit organization, is proud to unveil the first round of jurors for the 15th annual ADF Design Award 2025, an international design competition hosted by ADF. This year, the panel once again features distinguished figures from the global architecture and design community. The four confirmed jurors are as follows.

Joe Chan
Joe Chan, trained as an architect in Australia, founded Designtone after spending a decade in senior management roles at leading global design firms, where he played a pivotal role in elevating his previous employer to a Top 20 global ranking. Driven by a pursuit of creative freedom, Joe's design philosophy emphasizes adaptability, enabling his firm to evolve its style to meet a wide range of design challenges.
His passion for pushing the boundaries of interior design extends beyond his practice. In addition to serving as an Adjunct Professor at Taylor’s University, he shares his expertise through lectures and holds leadership positions, including Vice President of MIID (Malaysian Institute of Interior Designers) and Executive Board Member of IFI (International Federation of Interior Architects/Designers) for the term 2022-2024, contributing to the advancement of the industry.
Alberto Bortolotti
Alberto Bortolotti graduated in architecture with a thesis on urban planning from the Politecnico di Milano and currently serves as the Vice President of the Order of Architects of Milan. He has contributed to national magazines and newspapers such as Abitare, Domani, and the Huffington Post. In addition to his writing, he conducts research on urban policies at the Department of Architecture and Urban Studies at Politecnico di Milano.
His research has gained international recognition, with collaborations on projects at institutions such as Humboldt University in Berlin, Catholic University of Leuven, and the University of Amsterdam. He has also worked with various national and international organizations, including the Italian Ministry of Culture and the European Parliament, focusing on urban regeneration processes.
He is the author of the book *Modello Milano* (Maggioli, 2020), in which he deeply examines recent major urban transformations.
Chatpong Chuenrudeemol
Chatpong "Chat" Chuenrudeemol is the founder of CHAT architects, based in Bangkok. In 2020, he received Thailand's prestigious "Silpathorn Award," the highest honor for contemporary artists in the country.
His projects have won numerous top international awards, including accolades at the World Architecture Festival, the Seoul Design Award for Sustainable Life, the Australian Good Design Awards for Public Spaces, and the Architectural Review’s “New into Old” Adaptive Re-use Awards.
Chat’s work has been showcased both locally and internationally, most recently at the "Bangkok Bastards" Exhibition at the 2024 Guangzhou Design Triennial.
Keat Ong
Keat Ong is an architect by training and a multidisciplinary designer by profession. Prof. Ong is a renowned and award-winning designer, founder and design principal of Keat Ong Design, and co-founder of SCKD Pte Ltd. He also served three terms as president of the Society of Interior Designers, Singapore (SIDS).
In 2014, he was recognized as one of Asia’s Top Designers at the Singapore Design Awards and was named Designer of the Year for 2016/2017 by the prestigious INTERIOR DESIGN Magazine.
Keat is also the author of *Injecting Architecture*, a book that explores his design methodology, demonstrated through a collection of selected projects.
ADF Design Award 2025
The ADF Design Awards mission is to discover and celebrate the most innovative and outstanding designs from around the world. We focus not only on the aesthetics of the design but also on the ideas and concepts behind it. We are seeking submissions that push the boundaries of design, with creative ideas that improve people's lives while being environmentally conscious.
The submission period for the awards will run from Thursday, August 15, 2024, to Friday, December 20, 2024 (JST). A Grand Prize of US,000 will be awarded, along with two Excellence Awards of US,000 each, for a total prize pool of approximately US,000. The ADF Design Awards presents an excellent opportunity to showcase your design to the world.
As part of the prize, the Grand Prize winner and Excellence Award recipients will have the opportunity to exhibit their works at the ADF venue at Fuori Salone during the Milano Salone Internazionale del Mobile in April 2025, the world’s largest furniture fair. A reception party will also be held, offering a chance to network with industry professionals. Additionally, winners will have their work showcased at "COCO WARP," the Metaverse Museum operated by ADF, and will receive one year of PR support. We eagerly anticipate seeing your innovative designs presented to a global audience during Milano Design Week.

● Supplemental Prize
• The Grand Award and Excellence Award winners will have their works exhibited at the ADF venue in Fuori Salone during the "Milano Salone". The exhibition includes photo panels and architectural models.
• ADF will cover up to 1,000 USD equivalent for set-up costs.
• The winning entries will have the opportunity to be exhibited at the “COCO WARP”, the Metaverse Museum run by ADF.
• The winning entries will also have the opportunity to be exhibited at the ADF Art Gallery.
• The Grand Prize winner will receive PR support from the ADF Business Matching Division for one year.

1. Beauty: Artistic value in shape, color, detailing, and material selection
2. Innovation: Responding to social changes, using new materials, innovative construction processes, and pioneering designs. Innovation is a challenge within limited conditions.
3. Usefulness: The architecture and building is beneficial and sustainable for its users and the environment.
4. Regional / Cultural / Chronological: The architecture and building blends with and differentiates itself from the region, and its superficial beauty fits with the times and cultural context.
