The 5th Edition of Design China Beijing is officially launched
June 22, 2022, Design China Beijing, the fifth edition, was officially launched by the team of Design Shanghai. Unlike the previous editions, this year's Design China Beijing will present a Sustainable Design China Summit , with a brand-new approach. It will be held from September 26-28, 2022 at the China World Summit Wing Hotel in Beijing. ADF proudly supports the Design China Beijing as a media partner.

Design Anthology publishes newsletter "The Dispatch"
Hong Kong-based luxury design magazine Design Anthology, aimed at discerning executives, originally delivers The Dispatch, an email newsletter covering genres such as interiors, architecture, design, art, style and travel. Knowledge of Design Week (KODW) 2021｜ Hong Kong Design Center
With the development of IT and the internationalization of business, the importance of design in the service industry is coming back to the forefront in the new economy, where economic growth will continue for a long time. It is essential not to overlook the critical points of design, which is the core of people's activities, so that they can find value and develop rich experiences even as technology advances innovatively. The Hong Kong Design Center (HKDC) will hold an annual Knowledge of Design week (KODW) event for a global audience, following on from the previous year and held virtually. ADF (NPO Aoyama Design Forum) supports the event again this year as a media partner for KODW2021.

HKTDC holds DesignInspire 2020
DesignInspire, an annual creative showcase presented by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC), is a celebration of world-class designs by global creative gurus, trending brands and design academies and institutions.
This year, DesignInspire will lead a virtual journey for industry elites and the public from December 3-9, 2020. Under the theme “Design for Good”, it will ponder how design can contribute positive energy to us, the community and the business world. This one-week virtual experience will feature an engaging showcase of designer projects, brilliant designer stories, fun interactive experiences and a range of inspiring talks and creative workshops. BODW 2020 : Beyond virtual. LIVE global
In times of change and ambiguity, this year’s BODW is curated on the theme VISION 20/21 and is about finding clarity in uncertainty. BODW 2020 is happening virtually from November 30 to December 5, 2020. Registration is now open. Early bird offer available till November 3. KODW 2020 | Livestream Session Recordings Now Available
Knowledge of Design Week (KODW) 2020 officially concluded its successful debut as a virtual event. Livestreamed from Hong Kong over four days (26 to 29 August), KODW 2020 connected innovative leaders with the global community through over 15 thematic sessions, interactive remote workshops and an exclusive online community and networking platform.
KODW 2020 invited more than 40 local and international speakers to share their experiences in braving the new normal and critically relevant insights about emerging cross-industry trends.
By becoming virtual as well as more international this year, KODW attracted around 10,000 audiences from Hong Kong, Mainland China and overseas. The audiences from different time zones joined the virtual event to take part in discussions, conversations and workshops.

KODW 2020 Goes Virtual Meeting Global Experts to Explore the New Normal
Hong Kong Design Centre’s (HKDC) major annual event, Knowledge of Design Week (KODW), will make its debut as a virtual event for international audiences this year. Under the theme “Designing Digital Futures”, KODW 2020 will be held from 26 to 29 August 2020 to explore how digital transformation and human-centric design can help us navigate uncertainty and thrive in the pandemic world. Meet over 40 international forward-thinking leaders and innovators in one virtual event. Free Community and Network platform are accessible to all the participants.

ADF joins the Fuorisalone Digital
ADF has joined the new digital platform "Fuorisalone Digital", released by Fuorisalone.it.
The Milano Salone (Salone Internazionale del Mobile) canceled its 2020 edition, but the "Furio Salone" official site holds the "Fuorisalone Digital" from 15 to 21 June 2020.
ADF exhibits the "ADF Milano Salone Design Award 2020" winning piece, "CYLINDER x MATERIAL" designed by Rie Aruga, which was scheduled to be showcased at the "Fuori Salone" during the Milano Design Week.

Fuorisalone Japan launched! Join the Fuorisalone Digital!
Since 2003, Fuorisalone.it has been the reference platform for Fuorisalone, an event that together with the Salone del Mobile defines the Milan Design Week.
The Salone del Mobile.Milano cancelled its 2020 edition, but Milan Design Week doesn’t stop and Fuorisalone.it is going to introduce, from 15 to 21 June 2020, its brand new digital platform Fuorisalone Digital.
As a spin-off of the main brand Fuorisalone.it, a brand new project called Fuorisalone.jp has been launched, so visible worldwide, but strictly dediacted to the Japanese public. It will be a digital platform intended to communicate - with the typical Italian design thinking - the best of Japanese design, creativity and lifestyle, starting from an online Index and Agenda of Japanese Design.
Fuorisalone.jp will also promote (to the Japanese public but also to the international audience) the best of design Made in Japan on stage in Milan during the Design Week, aiming to create a cultural and commercial link between the two cultures.
Fuorisalone.it will launch the Fuorisalone Digital project which starts from 15 to 21, June 2020, where all the figures who join Fuorisalone Japan before 7 June 2020, are offered the opportunity to create your own digital event page on www.fuorisalone.it, for free.

NPO Aoyama Design Forum (ADF) has acknowledged a media partnership with the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC) for DesignInspire, the exhibition of design and innovation, held by every December. Through the media partnership, we will work together to proceed with the activities aimed at the development of the design industry, and we will convey beneficial information to everyone and try to lead to the development of the design industry.

MIID ANNUAL BALL & AWARDS NIGHT 2019
NPO Aoyama Design Forum (ADF) attended the MIID Annual Ball and Awards Night 2019 as one of the award sponsors for this noteworthy celebration at the Majestic Hotel, Kuala Lumpur, on November 22nd, 2019. It was the glorious and glamorous Malayan film industry like it’s 1956. This event was organized by the Malaysian Institute of Interior Designers (MIID). MIID has hosted various award programs recognizing and celebrating different interior designers across Kuala Lumpur and beyond. It is their honor to recognize each of the award recipients for their many accomplishments.

"Japanese Materials" at MATERIAL IN TIME - METAL -｜ PMQ / THE LAB
A design exhibition on the theme of “Japanese materials”at“MATERIAL IN TIME - METAL-” will be held from 29 Nov（Fri） to 31 Dec（Tue）, at a creative facility in Hong Kong, PMQ and from 4 Jan（Sat）to 19 Jan（Sun） at THE LAB.
Kaori Akiyama, the founder of STUDIO BYCOLOR, which is known for various creations with designs that express the appeal of colors and materials, launched this exhibition, as a platform to communicate Japanese creativity to the world through “materials”. Last year's first “MATERIAL IN TIME -PAPER-” was attended by more than 2,000 visitors, and the two exhibited works received the DFA Asian Design Award *.
＊ DFA Asian Design Award: The largest design award in Asia organized by the Hong Kong Design Center.
The main theme of this exhibition is “metal”, which is based on “exhibition”, “sales” and “talk session with local creators(Canceled due to Hong Kong situation)” of works and products by companies with unique technologies selected from Japan and up-and-coming designers. 8 works of designers and companies will be on display and products of 8 brands will be sold at ARTS & CRAFTS STUDIO in PMQ and THE LAB, one of Asia’s first sustainable lifestyle select shop.

More than 70 international visionaries will champion the power of design and design thinking to create a positive tomorrow at Asia's leading design, innovation and brands event.
Business of Design Week (BODW), Asia’s leading event on design, innovation and brands, has announced a diverse and powerful line-up of international and regional speakers this year. More than 70 design masters and influential business leaders from over 10 countries and economies are set to inspire BODW 2019 audiences in Hong Kong from 2-7 December.
Presented by Hong Kong Design Centre in collaboration with this year’s partner country, the United Kingdom (UK), BODW 2019 is curated on the visionary theme Design the Future, Create Tomorrow. The week-long event is anchored by the BODW Summit at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre, with more than 20 forums, dialogues and exhibitions running concurrently around the city.
