【ADF Web Magazine】Residential Building with a Bold Design “Casamirador” by Gisele Borges ArquiteturaScheduled for completion in 2021, the CASAMIRADOR Savassi residential building is located in Belo Horizonte, Minas Gerais, Brazil, and features bold architecture that stands out in the local landscape. The building, with 14 lofts and 24 studios, spans nine stories on a narrow lot with a width of 12.7 meters. The challenge of volumetric mathematics to maintain spacing was one of the factors that influenced non-obvious decisions and resulted in an architecture with its own identity.

In order to balance the different physical and spiritual demands, the design team inserted a long turned ramp, to slow down the pace and prolong the process of emotional experience.

【ADF Web Magazine】100-year-old Victorian architecture by Kripper StudioADCO Realty commissioned Kripper Studio to restore and completely redesign a historic Victorian-style home into a modern and elegant duplex with expanded living space. The original single-family home was converted into a duplex in the 1990s. Kripper Studio focused on embracing the potential of the entire building and creating two reconfigured, modern, self-contained apartments within the architectural charm of a century-old Victorian home.

The concept derives from the complexity of the sea waves and the local tradition of carved ornamental details on the facade elements. Based on this, the architects have developed a site concept consisting of five interconnected buildings reminiscent of waves.
